Introduction to the master

A found photograph, without its original context, can become a completely new story in the right hands. In LABASAD, we show our students how to transform images into unique visual narratives. The Online Master in New Documentary Photography trains professionals who master the language of photography, with a focus on:

 

History and theory: understanding where documentary photography comes from and where it stands today.

Study plan

The Online Master in New Documentary Photography lasts 12 months and is made up of a total of 10 courses grouped into 4 modules. With the knowledge acquired throughout the master, students must be able to carry out the Master’s Final Project, which will be coordinated by the co-directors of the master, Toni Amengual and Fiorenza Pinna.

Yes, the Master includes an AI Masterclass focused on image creation using generative AI and how to implement visuals in creative development.

What are the admission requirements?

No previous university degree is required. However, applicants must have knowledge of photographic technique and proficiency in post-production and editing software. You must submit your CV and portfolio for evaluation by the Program Director.

What degree is awarded upon completion?

Students receive LABASAD’s proprietary Master’s Degree.
