LABASAD, Educational Partner of Upscale Conf Málaga 2025: creativity and artificial intelligence on the same stage
Creative and generative artificial intelligence has an unmissable date this autumn in Málaga. On 4 and 5 November 2025, the city will host the third edition of Upscale Conf, organised by Freepik, the Málaga-based company leading the way in AI-powered creative tools.
After the success of its previous edition in San Francisco, which brought together more than 600 professionals from design, creativity, and technology, the event returns to its hometown with its most ambitious edition yet.
LABASAD will take part as the official Educational Partner of Upscale Conf Málaga, reaffirming its commitment to a modern education aligned with the trends transforming the creative industries.
Upscale Conf Málaga 2025 will explore how AI is redefining the way we create, communicate, and imagine. In this edition, attendees will have the opportunity to take part in seven hands-on workshops focused on AI applied to creative workflows, as well as enjoy real-time experiences such as a prompt battle between artists using Freepik AI tools.
The event will feature international figures such as Marten Kuipers (DEPT®), PJ Accetturo (Genre.ai), Andreas Markdalen (Frog), and Isabelita Virtual (Isabel Martínez). Freepik will also unveil new products.
Among the featured speakers will be Isabelita Virtual, Director of LABASAD’s Online Master in Generative Artificial Intelligence for Creatives.
Isabelita is a Creative Director and visual artist with an international career at agencies such as SCPF, DDB, and Wunderman NY, as well as experience at Meta (Facebook). Her work has been recognised at Cannes Lions, D&AD, and she has collaborated with brands and institutions including Apple, Tiffany & Co, Delpozo, Hermès, Coach, Versace, Sony, Vogue, & Other Stories, Tous, Viktor&Rolf, Dior, Inditex, Louis Vuitton Foundation, NASA, and The Moscow Ballet.
She received a Webby Award Honoree for her collaboration with the Metropolitan Museum of Art in New York and became the only Spanish artist to exhibit in Times Square as part of the Midnight Moment programme. She currently collaborates with OpenAI as part of their Community Team, exploring new forms of visual storytelling through technology and AI.
