Introducing the Online Master’s Degree in Editorial and Advertising Illustration

This time we would like to present the Online Master’s Degree in Editorial and Advertising Illustration, a program aimed at graduates in Design, Advertising or Graphic Arts who are looking to broaden their specialised training in illustration. It is also programed for Professionals in the sector without specific qualifications who can accredit professional experience and who aim to specialise in the illustration sector.
The Online Master’s Degree in Editorial and Advertising Illustration is structured into 5 study modules, which contain a total of 14 subjects in which students will delve into the intricacies of different illustration assignments found in both editorial and advertising domains.
The first module is an introduction to the importance of visual storytelling and own-language; in second module will focus on the importance of illustration in the press and publishing sectors and how to start developing characters from the beginning; the third module is oriented to think about the parts of a creative process through the brand strategy; in the fourth module we will learn about the importance of self-promotion in the illustration business through a good personal portfolio.
Finally, in the last module it’s about the final master’s degree project, where all the knowledge learned will be demonstrated and applied.

The Online Master’s Degree in Editorial and Advertising Illustration is directed by Bárbara Malagoli, a Brazilian multidisciplinary artist focused on Illustration and Visual Arts based in London-UK.
She has been working as an independent professional with studios and clients in a wide range of projects, as an Illustrator, graphic designer, and creative director. Her work is all about compositions, shapes, vibrant textures and bold colors.
