12 nominations for LABASAD students at the 2025 Laus Awards

Twelve projects by LABASAD students are competing for the most prestigious graphic and visual design awards in Spain.
The creative talent of LABASAD once again shines in the 55th edition of the ADG-FAD Laus Awards, the most renowned accolades in graphic and visual communication design in Spain. This year, ten of our master’s students have received a total of twelve nominations, with all projects developed during their studies at the school.
On 19 June, the long-awaited Nit ADG Laus 2024 will take place at the Disseny Hub Barcelona – a ceremony that will bring together the national creative community for the final jury decision. It will be then that we find out whether any of our students’ projects will be awarded a Gold, Silver, or Bronze Laus Trophy.
This initial distinction as nominees means their work has been selected as In Book projects, ensuring their inclusion in the 2025 ADG Laus Book – one of the leading national and international publications in the field of design.
Being selected In Book represents much more than a simple nomination: it is a mark of professional excellence, recognising the rigour, innovation, and relevance of the projects within today’s design landscape. This distinction, awarded following a demanding evaluation by a specialised jury, places each of these works among the best in contemporary design.
The projects nominated by LABASAD students for the 2025 Laus Awards span a wide range of categories within graphic, digital, advertising, and audiovisual design, reflecting the richness and diversity of creative approaches developed during their education at the school.
In the Laus Aporta category, which focuses on projects with social impact, Martina Morató Planell, a student of the Máster Online en Diseño Web y App: UX/UI, has been nominated for Can Tothom. She is joined by Kelly Geurden, from the Online Master in Graphic and Digital Design, with her project Sprout: The Art of Urban Farming, and Maria Lia Da Costa Fernandes, from the same master, with The Inconvenience Store.
In the graphic design category, Andrea Muñoz Rubio, from the Máster Online en Diseño Estratégico de Packaging, has been nominated for her project Vulcan, while Maria Lia Da Costa Fernandes has been selected for a second time for The Inconvenience Store.
In the digital category, three nominations stand out. Martina Morató Planell has once again been recognised for Can Tothom; Laura Navas de Maya, from the Máster Online en Diseño Gráfico Avanzado, for her project D-Archive; and Dafne Haanaid Sustaita Rodríguez, also from the Máster Online en Diseño Gráfico Avanzado, for Scriptum.
In the advertising category, the nomination has gone to Alexandra Christodoulou, a student of the Online Master in Editorial and Advertising Illustration, for her work entitled Walk, Don’t Run.
Meanwhile, the audiovisual category features three outstanding projects. Mónica Vargas Michel, from the Máster Online en Motion Graphics, has been nominated for ¿Quién cuida a quien cuida?; Samuel Aldavero Abenza, also from Motion Graphics, presents the project Vessel; while Marta Gutiérrez Barreda, from the same programme, has been selected for Esencia.
At LABASAD, we proudly celebrate this recognition of our students’ hard work, creativity, and dedication. Being nominated for the ADG-FAD Laus Awards not only affirms the quality of the submitted projects but also reinforces our educational community as a benchmark for impactful, conscious, and excellent design.
Congratulations to all the nominees and to the academic team who have supported them along the way!
