Icaro de Abreu
Inventor, professor, and innovation executive working at the intersection of design, creativity, communication, and technology, he has built an international career dedicated to transforming complexity into clarity and impact.
He holds a Master’s degree in Design from the University of São Paulo (USP) and is the creator of the Invention Journey framework, based on storytelling and rapid prototyping.
For over 20 years, he has led some of the largest creative teams in Latin America, having worked as an executive at IBM, WPP, and Monks, and developing projects for global brands such as Ford, Jeep, Samsung, Netflix, Warner, Google, TikTok, Meta, Pepsi, Elma Chips, and Pringles.
Currently, he is General Manager of Newell & Simon, a consultancy focused on transformation and innovation in marketing, a professor in the Master’s program at the School of Arts and Design of Barcelona, a member of the Innovation and Design board at ESPM, and a sectoral representative for Design in the State of São Paulo.
His work has received international acclaim, including recognitions from Cannes Lions, D&AD, The One Show, and Webby Awards, and a project was selected by the Chicago Museum as a major advancement in the field of wearables.
