LABASAD at Festival Blanc 2025: creativity and innovation

This weekend, Festival Blanc! celebrates a new edition, consolidating itself as one of Spain’s leading events in graphic design and creativity — a gathering that also features several instructors from LABASAD.
The “Festival Blanc!” brings together some of the most renowned names in the national and international creative scene, including Marco Petrucci, Petru, Motion and Post Director and instructor of the Máster Online en Motion Graphics in Spanish at LABASAD, as well as Abuela Studio, who are part of the teaching team of the Máster Online en Dirección de Arte en Comunicación in Spanish.
Marco Petrucci is a 2D and 3D animator, creative director, and digital creator. Founder of the studio Bungalow, his career spans more than a decade of exploration across film, design, and animation.
Throughout his professional journey, he has developed projects for brands such as Audi, Nike, Volkswagen, Seat, and Naturgy, always maintaining an experimental style and a constant pursuit of new storytelling forms.
At Blanc!, Marco shares his perspective on integrating artificial intelligence into creative processes. His talk explores how generative tools are transforming animation and motion design, proposing a hybrid workflow that connects technology and artistic intuition.
“My goal is to understand how AI can enhance creativity, not replace it,” explains Marco.
Drawing from his professional and teaching experience at LABASAD — where he trains the next generation of digital creators — Marco reflects on the role of the designer in an era where human and technological creativity are increasingly intertwined.
Abuela Studio, also part of LABASAD’s faculty, will be taking the stage at Blanc! 2025 to share their creative process and their distinctive way of understanding contemporary graphic design.
In their talk, Abuela will explore how to approach projects with flexibility, openness, and versatility, ensuring that visual narratives not only make an impact but also leave a lasting impression.
Because, after all, no one loves you more than Abuela.
Their presentation captures the essence of the studio perfectly: humour, critical thinking, and an honest, human-centred view of design as a form of connection and empathy with society.
Festival Blanc! once again welcomes an outstanding line-up of speakers. Alongside Marco Petrucci and Abuela Studio, the stage will feature:
Rafa Soto, CCO at Summa and former LABASAD instructor, passionate about brands and their role as cultural agents, narrative catalysts, and artistic tools. Founder of the agency Herraiz Soto & Co, one of Spain’s first digital agencies, Rafa will address how brands can connect with today’s culture and generate real social impact.
DVEIN, the creative duo formed by Teo and Carlos, recognised for their experimental approach and ability to blend the real and the digital. At Blanc!, they invite audiences to explore their universe, where each project becomes an experience between the tangible and the imagined.
Stefan Sagmeister, one of the world’s most influential graphic designers. His portfolio includes work for clients such as The Rolling Stones, HBO and the Guggenheim Museum, and he has been honoured with two Grammy Awards, among many others. His talk promises to explore how design shapes the way we feel and live and how it can turn the ordinary into something extraordinary.

The participation of Marco Petrucci and Abuela Studio in Blanc! 2025 reinforces the connection between LABASAD and the creative spaces that encourage experimentation, critical thinking, and innovation in contemporary design.
At LABASAD, we are proud that our instructors play an active role in the forums shaping the present and future of creativity. Their experience inspires our students to see design as a tool for cultural and technological transformation.
