LABASAD students shortlisted at ADCE Student Awards 2025

In its second edition, the Student Awards Gala of the Art Directors Club of Europe (ADCE) celebrates the new generation of creative talent. Among the finalists are four LABASAD students whose projects show that innovation, sensitivity and a contemporary outlook are fundamental pillars of their learning process.

As part of “Creative Week”, the event will bring together the winning students with agency representatives, lecturers, family and friends in an inspiring evening of recognition, prizes and celebration. The ADCE Student Awards 2025 gala will take place on November 19th and will be the stage where Europe shines a spotlight on those who represent the future of creativity.

LABASAD students among the finalists

This year, several LABASAD students have been selected as finalists in different categories, once again demonstrating the high creative, conceptual and technical level of the projects developed at the school.

Yago Soria Díaz – Chasing Dragons

In his photographic project Chasing Dragons, Yago Soria, student of the Máster Online en Nueva Fotografía Documental, delves into the transformation of the dragon in contemporary China: an ancestral symbol which, in the midst of the rise of capitalism, has become a consumer object. Through a critical, documentary lens, Yago reflects on how an ancient culture is redefined in the face of modernity, while also exploring the nuances of a Western gaze observing the East.

Aritz López Oronoz – HELMETER

Aritz, student of LABASAD’s Máster Online en Diseño de Producto, presents HELMETER, a conceptual helmet designed for technical architects and engineers, born from a collaboration between BAHCO and BOSE. This innovative design integrates protection with MIPS technology, active noise cancellation and a mixed-reality visor capable of displaying real-time information. Beyond its speculative nature, the project explores how technology can redefine safety and efficiency in demanding work environments.

Patricia Izara – DPeel. Dual Precision Peeler

The design by Patricia Izara, student of the Máster Online en Diseño de Producto, addresses an everyday need with ingenuity and functionality. DPeel is a dual-precision peeler that adapts to the type of cut and the shape of the vegetable with a simple “twist-twist” motion. The utensil also incorporates an innovative system for removing sprouts, combining ergonomics, customisation and intelligent design for the pace of modern life.

Adriano Galati – The Old Manufactory’s Duplex

Adriano Galati, student of LABASAD’s Online Master in Interior Design and Hospitality in english, proposes an interior design intervention that combines elegance, identity and contemporary sensitivity. The Old Manufactory’s Duplex transforms the top two floors of a former workshop into a sophisticated, vibrant space for a queer couple who love art and creativity. The result is a home that balances the bold with the intimate: a place to live, create, rest and celebrate.

Creativity without borders

The presence of these four projects at the ADCE Student Awards 2025 is a source of pride for LABASAD and the entire academic community. They represent not only the quality of the school’s training but also the diversity of perspectives and disciplines that define it: from photography and industrial design to interior design and technological conceptualisation.

From LABASAD, we would like to congratulate Yago Soria, Aritz López, Patricia Izara and Adriano Galati on their outstanding work and wish them the very best of luck at the gala on November 19th. 🌟
